We’re a fringe venue for the wonderful Hereford AppleFest which runs 28th September to 13th October. We’ll be offering a special menu; harvest-time cider tours and family friendly wooden apple painting.
We can’t help but incorporate a touch of cider or apple juice here or there in our year-round menu, but for AppleFest we go all out with a 3 course menu that really showcases pears, apples, perry, cider and AJ. Our Cider Tours always take in what is happening seasonally in the cidery and out in the orchards. During September and October it’s an especially evocative time as the apple harvest will be in full swing, with picking, pressing and fermentation getting underway. You can book on the AppleFest Cider Tours here, for either Saturday 28th September or Saturday 5th October, starting at 1.15pm, followed by tastings and a Ploughman’s.
For family fun, have a go at painting your own apples to turn into a fridge magnet, a coaster, a hanging decoration or to make your own garden trees look pretty when the leaves fall. We provide all the items needed to create these appley masterpieces. The dates for this activity are Thursday to Saturday 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th, 11th, 12th October 9-4.30.
